This symbol contrasts the different Divisions of the Osage people –the Sky/Tsizho (the Black Star) and the Earth/Hunkah (the Black Circle) –to provide a fuller representation of the Nation as a whole.  Similar to the lightening (Red Lines) linking the Divisions together, VotingOsage.org is a site of constructive Osage interactions which embraces difference.

As an online political forum for our people to educate themselves and each other during election season, we seek to improve the quality of the Nation’s elected officials and the political process as a whole by encouraging informed dialogue and debate regarding candidates’ platforms, campaigns, qualifications and materials.  One of the few known Osage icons unifying our people’s Divisions, this symbol embodies our efforts to link the divergent voices of the Osage citizenry together so we may see ourselves in solidarity as a Nation in pursuit of a more perfect union.

We are an Osage owned and operated, non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots organization.  Our mission is to reinvigorate the Osage Nation election process. We encourage eligible voters to use our online forum to read through our collection of available campaign materials so we may all enjoy an informed dialogue with other Osages regarding the strengths and merits of each candidate and their respective platforms.
